Mandi called me early today on her own. She said she wanted a shower. That is great news! All IV's are out and so is the Foley Catheter. They have also taken away the self medicating pump. She is alert and feeling so much better. She is only asking for Tylenol for pain. She is slowly walking to the bathroom and still on a clear liquid diet.
She even wanted to watch a little television tonight. I was with her most of the day but since the shuttles are not running and they have the side entrance locked it is about 4-5 blocks walk to the hospital entrance, so I left her at 5pm before it got dark here. When I left she was ready to rest for a while but I know her nurse will be in to get her up to walk soon.
Before we know it we will be back home, Praise God. I know the children miss her and we so very much miss them.
